Ethan has been waiting for the day that he could be just like big brother and go to school. He was so eager to get out the door! We dropped Carson off at school earlier and then had 30 min before we had to get Ethan to school right down the street so we got a little treat of cinnamon melts at Mcdonalds and headed over. All of his excitement turned to a bit of shyness when it was time to go into class, but luckily he quickly recognized his teacher, Mrs. Emerick, (aka: Miss Anna-the babysitter we had for a year when I first went back to school!) and gave her a hug and headed in to class with a quick goodbye.
Ethan had a great first day and couldn't wait to show me what he brought home. We headed over to a park for a picnic lunch. He had to carry his back pack around with him EVERYWHERE-including up and down the slides! And everyday, EVERYWHERE for the next 2 weeks!
He still continues to love school. Everyday he wishes it was his "gool" day asking "Mom, is it my gool day?" or "Mom? I get to go to gool today?"It's sweet, but sadly we only signed him up for 2 days this year, just as we did with Carson. Considering they are completely different children, we are looking at adding a third day in there come the new year.
